It’s nearly impossible in this day and age to survive without electricity. It has become the part and parcel of our everyday life, and we need electricity nowadays to do even the most basic of things, and hence it is of the outmost importance that you have a backup source of power available to you at all times.
A generator is a dire necessity and I was posted in Iraq as part of the 38th regiment, during one of our missions our generator broke down completely at base camp, and it was an absolute pain to repair the damn thing. After a while though the situation was escalating out of hand and there was no electricity at all for approximately 3 weeks and that was making it really difficult for us to conduct our tasks effectively. However after a while we managed to get a new one and soon enough parity was restored.
After I returned home one of the first things that I did was buy a portable electric generator. The generator still works brilliantly and is indeed a blessing as more often than not it has proved to be an efficient backup source of electricity during a power outage.
